Eckford Hall Steading is set in a tranquil and picturesque location, situated near the River Teviot, and just off the A698 Jedburgh to Kelso road. An area with a wealth of history, we are ideally situated for all the Border Abbeys, historic houses and the many sporting and social activities in the area. The famous Roxburghe Championship golf course is only a few miles away, as are the renowned fishing rivers of the Tweed and Teviot. The nearby Cheviot Hills offer vast opportunities for hill walkers, cyclists/mountain bikers and keen nature ramblers. Also we are within a few miles of the start/finish of the Pennine Way at Kirk Yetholm. In addition to all this Kelso is the home to the Friendliest Race Course in Britain and the starting point for the Jim Clark Rally which is held annually in May.

There is a wealth of shopping to be explored in our beautiful border towns - woolen, textile and many local craft shops to name a few. We are surrounded by a host of interesting and extremely good restaurants offering fine wines and local produce.
